We are recruiting for a new Volunteer Debt Coach role at Revive Church. This volunteer role will support the Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Debt Centre Manager in the set-up and ongoing running of the Debt Centre, helping individuals and families on their journey towards becoming debt free.
The role includes supporting clients through home visits and ongoing pastoral-style support, working closely with the CAP team to ensure clients feel encouraged, listened to, and supported throughout the debt help process. All aspects of the role are carried out in a way that positively reflects the Christian faith and the core values of Christians Against Poverty.
The minimum time commitment for this role is eight hours per week, made up of two sessions of four consecutive hours, with at least one session during normal working hours (9am–5pm, Monday to Friday). Due to the nature of the role, applicants will require an Enhanced DBS check (or Basic Disclosure in Scotland), which will be applied for and funded by the church. We also ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of two years, reflecting the level of specialist training involved.
You can download the Role Description here or tap the buttons below. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the role further, please email mark.wilbourne@revivechurch.uk. (We do not require a video application for this role.)
