We are recruiting for a new Safeguarding & Executive Assistant role at ROAR Church Network. This is a part-time paid position (15 hours per week, £15.80 per hour / £9,481 pro-rata) that plays a central role in building a safe, healthy, and well-governed church network across all ROAR sites.
The role combines two key areas of responsibility: serving as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the network — overseeing safeguarding policies, safer recruitment, training, and statutory compliance across all sites — alongside providing high-level executive assistant support to Senior Leaders and the Board of Trustees, including diary management, communications, and governance coordination. We recognise the ideal candidate may come with strong organisational skills and a willingness to grow into the safeguarding side of the role, which is why we are offering this as a developmental appointment with full DSL training and a structured progression pathway provided.
The successful candidate will be a committed Christian with a heart for the church community, proven experience handling sensitive information with integrity, and excellent organisational and communication skills. An Enhanced DBS check will be required and will be arranged as part of the appointment process. The role is offered on a permanent contract subject to a 6-month probation period.
