What are you waiting for?

‘but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.’     Isaiah 40:31

As much as I enjoy the Summer, I really love the autumn!  There’s just something special about the buzz of the new school year, the bite of the first frost and the beautiful display of autumn leaves that we are so fortunate to witness.

I also see autumn as a time of expectant waiting for the celebration of Christmas and the new year ahead.  It really is the culmination of the year and we should use it to celebrate all that God has done.

However, for some of us, we may be still waiting for our breakthrough or answer to prayer to be made manifest.  I understand as much as anyone of the pain of waiting for s breakthrough.  However, I want to encourage you today to press in and hope in the Lord, He IS FAITHFUL!  When we keep our hope in HIM, His promise is that He will renew our strength, that’s strength for the road to keep going.

I would also like to encourage you to stop each day this week and take a moment to observe something beautiful.  Thank God for that beautiful misty morning, the rich colour of a freshly fallen leaf, or the smile of a friend.  As you find beauty in the broken, God will restore your soul.  Be blessed in your waiting.
