What are you carrying across the bridge?

Here we are today at the bridge, with one year behind us and another before us.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the year that’s closing with its highs and lows, and look ahead to the year that’s about to begin.

This year has seen times of great celebration as well as times of great sadness, the highs and lows of life.   It’s important to remember to thank God for His blessings and receive His comfort for the pain and sorrow we have experienced.  It’s so easy to enjoy the highs and feel angry at God in the lows, but remember, He is faithful and dependable.

Whether you’ve had a great year, or a really difficult one, let these words resound in your heart.

Psalm 103:2:  “Bless the Lord, O my soul,  And forget not all His benefits.”

As you enter 2018, leave your pain behind and take gratitude to God with you.  Leave disappointments behind and take hope and faith with you for the journey ahead.  God is faithful.

Whatever you carry across the bridge into 2018, make it count.
