“The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10).
I love this photo, the moody clouds, the colours, the contrast, the structure. I love the fact that the rest of the structure is gone, but the tower remains. This is a metaphor for faith.
We have all been through tough times. This last 5 months have been really tough for many of us. I would go so far to say that 2017 has been a year of 2 halves, Jan-June were AWESOME, Rach and Dan’s wedding, a great family holiday, my Mum’s wedding, etc. However, July – Oct have been really tough for many reasons.
When the wrecking ball of adversity comes into our life, we have 2 choices. We either lie down, curse God and die, or we run to Him. The best option is to stand in the safety and security of the name of the LORD and on His promises in the Word. He is faithful.
Whatever is rattling your cage, robbing your peace or crushing your dreams, whatever is stealing your peace, joy, finances or health, trust God. Make a quality decision to stand in the tower of strength that is the name of the LORD, He is faithful.
When you take the step of faith to stand in Him regardless, you will reap the rewards of that faithfulness. Stand in faith. Trust in Him. There are brighter days ahead, hold on to The name above all names.
