Sing!

“Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving;
Sing praises on the harp to our God,.“ Psalm 147:7

Regardless of the situation you find yourself in, having an attitude of gratitude is a powerful tool in overcoming the enemy and breaking out into a place of blessing.

When we break out in thanksgiving praise over and above our circumstances, we are making a powerful statement that God is bigger than our circumstances, bigger than our problems, bigger than our pain.  That sacrifice of praise ushers in the presence of God, bringing you peace and hope, knowing that God is able.

Some may be more skilled at singing than others, but everyone can make a “joyful noise unto the Lord”!  Use every opportunity to praise God, in the bath, in the car, out walking the dog, praise Him.  Use CDs, or MP3s to help you lose yourself in a powerful worship track to drown out your “joyful noise” if necessary!

I have discovered that the times when I least feel like singing are when I need to do it the most. When my heart feels heavy, I need to be renewed, restored, and recharged through singing thanks to God.

Make it a priority to be in church and take the opportunity to worship with others and be built up in the word.  Don’t starve your spiritual man by staying away when you “don’t feel like it”!  Together we’re stronger!
