Seasons come and seasons go!

“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”  Genesis 8:22

I’m sure that if we all sat and thought about it long enough we would all be able to decide on our favourite season.  Some love winter, the scenic winter landscapes and crisp mornings.  Others love spring, the signs of new life, lambs and bulbs bursting forth.  Some love summer, the long days and the feeling of warmth on your back.  But I love the autumn.  I love the changing colour of the leaves, the nip in the air and the excitement looking towards Bonfire Night and Christmas.

For me, autumn is all about celebration and HOPE!  Celebration of the goodness of God in the season that has gone and a hope filled expectation of the seasons to come.

The changing colours of autumn really are a fanfare of celebration of the goodness of God.  Whatever we have faced during the last season, God has always been faithful and steadfast at our side, strengthening us and supporting us, holding us through it all.

You see, whatever your circumstances may look like, whatever your season of life, even in the winter seasons, God is on the move to bring you into a place of blessing and fulfilment.  Even on the darkest day of winter, spring is on its way.  Whatever season you’re in today, trust God and His faithfulness.  He is faithful!
