Our Vision

To be a church where every member is functioning and growing in their ministry. To become a resource centre which provides help for the community; also providing training and ministry for other churches. To be a church that is known in the community for its excellence; a church that is pro-active and is continuing to invest in its future.

Honour

Honouring God and each other – personal integrity, allegiance to moral principles

Community

Loving our community – A group of people united in vision, values and heart

Purpose

The reason for which something exists. Fulfilling and being fulfilled

At the time of the birth of the vision we were doing very little of what the vision statement said. We did recognise that when God reveals something with regards to vision, He speaks to us from our future position and we have to grow into it.

So we really felt strongly in our hearts this was the pattern God was revealing to us in regards to the kind of church we were to become. Exodus 25:9 “According to all I show you, that is the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so shall you make it.”

We also recognised that we needed to make future plans in how we were to grow into the kind of church God wanted us to become. One thing we realised immediately was that we needed to train leaders; we also realised that the gifts of Christ are in the body and we needed to identify people’s gifts and callings, and train, develop and release them. We ran (and run) various workshops and leadership training programmes to help equip the people for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12).

We are continuing to grow into our vision and thank God that He is enlarging our boundaries and areas of influence for the kingdom. By His grace we will continue to fulfil the vision He has given us and pass on a good foundation for the next generation to build upon.
